Join me, for a slow-paced afternoon photo-walk along The River Adur, observing the magical marine eco-systems that make up this landscape. Using your own mobile phone or your personal DSLR/Mirrorless cameras, we’ll explore the riverbank, urban architecture of the Shoreham Flyover and Cement Works, as well as capturing intimate details of plant life along the river side.
Open to all levels of experience, these walks focus less on the technical elements of how to take a perfect picture, but more on ways in which we can connect with our senses through noticing and observing the micro and macro livings worlds of nature that we sometimes may overlook within our day-to-day lives.
Workshop details:
Date and time: Saturday 2nd May 2026, 13:00 - 16:00
Timings: We’ll meet at 13:00 by Shoreham Tollbridge and shoot for the afternoon on a loop walking up the River past the Shoreham Flyover and Cement Works. Stopping for a break to refuel and share some of our photographs before finishing back at the Toll Bridge before 16:00.
Who is this for?: For adults of all ages who live locally, have an interest in photography, enjoy doing creative activities and want to feel closer to nature.
Group size: 10 participants max.
Meeting Point: Old Shoreham Toll Bridge, Tollbridge House Connaught Avenue, Shoreham-By-Sea BN43 5WP
What to bring and wear: Please bring a suitable pair of sturdy outdoor footwear, a bottle of water, snacks and appropriate clothing paying attention to the weather forecast on the day.
